This evening President Tom called our meeting to order at 7:05 pm.
We had 14 members and guests in attendance.
Treasurer Doug announced that to date we had sold 21 tickets to our Banquet with John Shewey.
Secretary Dale said he would send out a Last Call Notice for those not having tickets to RSVP and pay for their ticket and attendance via email. Doug said that we would need to give the Walla Walla Country Club and headcount for dinner service by next Wednesday, 15 October.
It was announced that there would be a Door Prize going to one lucky -BLUE- Banquet ticket holder... the club would reimburse that lucky ticket holder for the price of their 2015 (Washington or Oregon) Out-of-State Fishing License.
Those attending our Banquet; be sure to bring your lucky -BLUE- ticket with you for Banquet entry and the Door Prize drawing.
Also working behind the scenes, on the Banquet's Silence Auction items will be:
Diane - tying flies to fill fly boxes
Harold - wine
Dale - Silence Auction sign-up sheets
Steve and Tom - securing fly boxes from Steve's Archery

Project Healing Waters -Yakima River - 2-Fly Tournement |
He told us there was 120 people in attendance for that function of which 66 were veterans. This function came together on Friday evening at an area KOA campground and lasted through Sunday morning breakfast. Jerry reported that he was very impressed with the organization of the tournament and the food was great. There were fishing crews for 23 boats with veterans fly fishing the river. Our Walla Walla group had two boats and 4 vets participating.
Club Librarian Tyson brought to our attention that we had a few more books and DVD's added to our fly fishing / fly tying library.
Tom and Dale have received their Walla² Fly Fishers' LOGO cap and sweater from Graphic Apparel - 860 NE Rose St. College Place, WA.

LOGO caps will also be available to buy at our Banquet.
It was mentioned that the Wallowa and Minam rivers were fishing very well this past weekend. The fly of the day was a #6-#8 Stimulator, to simulate the current October Caddis -Dicosmoecus gilvipes- hatch occurring across all of NE Oregon.
The club's steelhead fishing outing to the Deschutes River on Friday was discussed. We will be leaving Grove Elementary School parking lot in Milton-Freewater at 5:00 am, hoping to arrive at Moody Rapids before the sun hits the water.

Dale will help everyone find a fishing slot along the river's west-side trail, and maybe a steelhead or few to go along with the occasion.
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 12 November.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:05pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Dale McKain
